Leather Bags

Crossbody, shoulder, backpack, briefcase — all in vegetable-tanned cowhide.

Every bag here is cut from full-grain cowhide, vegetable-tanned and left uncoated, then sewn by hand in an Istanbul workshop. Full-grain means the outer layer of the hide is kept intact rather than sanded down and re-coated, so the surface carries its own marks and darkens as it is carried instead of flaking off.

The range runs from small woven crossbodies to briefcases that hold a laptop. Hardware is solid rather than plated — brass alloy on most pieces, hand-cut horn on a few — and the seams are hand-sewn so they can be opened and redone, which is what the lifetime repair guarantee covers. Made in Istanbul, curated in Los Angeles, shipped free within the US over $150.
