What we collect

We collect only what a small shop needs to serve you:

• Order details — your name, email address, shipping address and the items you order, when you place an order or write to us.
• Newsletter email — your email address, only if you subscribe.
• Bag contents — stored in your own browser (localStorage), never sent to us until you place an order.

We do not collect payment card details on this site. When card payment goes live it will be processed by a dedicated payment provider; card numbers will never touch our servers.

How we use it

• To make, ship and support your order, including emails about its status.
• To answer messages you send us.
• To send the newsletter you asked for — one letter a month, with a working unsubscribe link.

We do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for their marketing. Form submissions are processed by Netlify, our hosting provider, solely to deliver them to us.

Cookies and local storage

Your shopping bag lives in your browser's local storage and stays on your device. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand site traffic (pages viewed, items added to bag, purchases); it sets analytics cookies and we have IP anonymization enabled. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and Analytics data is not used for ad personalization. You can block analytics cookies in your browser or with Google's opt-out add-on; the shop works fully without them.

Your choices (including California residents)

You may ask us at any time to show, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you — email hello@lamodaleather.com and we will act within 30 days. We honor these requests for everyone, including rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and CalOPPA. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.

Data retention and security

Order records are kept as long as required for warranty service and tax law, then deleted. Data in transit is protected with TLS.
