Questions, kept simple.

Shipping, repairs, care, and a direct line to us. If the answer is not on this page, write — a person replies, not a system.

Shipping & returns

Every piece leaves Istanbul within 2–3 business days. From there, US orders from $150 ship free; under that, standard delivery is $12 and takes 3–5 business days, express is $28 and takes 1–2. We ship worldwide via DHL, with duties prepaid for the US.

You get a tracking number the moment it leaves the workshop.

Returns are simple: 30 days, unused, in the original box. You cover return shipping for a change of mind (the original shipping fee is not refunded); if the fault is ours — damaged, defective or the wrong item — we send a prepaid label and refund everything. On an exchange we ship the replacement at no charge; the return leg is yours, as with any change of mind. We issue the refund within 2 business days of the piece arriving back, and it reaches your card 5–10 business days after that. Full details, including cancellation and damage claims, are in the Returns & Refund Policy.

Lifetime repairs

If a seam ever gives, we repair it. Free, forever.

Not every repair travels. Email photos of the damage to hello@lamodaleather.com and we reply within one business day.

Small hardware we fitted — a buckle, a rivet, a snap hook, a zipper pull — we post out, to you or to your own repair shop, and the piece never leaves your hands. A manufacturing fault early on brings a replacement piece rather than a repair. Seams and structure are the work that travels: to the workshop in Istanbul and home again, 3–4 weeks door to door, every leg ours. The windows and the full terms are in the lifetime repair guarantee.

Leather care

Full-grain leather wants use, not shelter. Carry it, walk it, let it live in your hands.

If it gets rained on, wipe it with a dry cloth and let it dry away from heat. A thin coat of leather balm twice a year is plenty. Small scratches polish out with a fingertip and a minute of patience.

The darkening is the point. That deep honeyed shift is patina — the record of every day you carried it.

Belt sizing

A belt size is not a trouser size, and guessing between them is how most belts end up in a drawer. Measure instead — it takes a minute and it is the only method that works across brands.

Take a belt you already wear and like. Lay it flat and measure from the inside face of the buckle — where the leather begins, not the end of the metal — to the hole you actually use. That measurement is your belt size. If you are between our two sizes, take the larger: a belt can be worn on an inner hole, but it cannot be lengthened.

Our belts are cut in S–M and M–L. Every strap is full-grain and vegetable-tanned, so it will soften and give very slightly with wear — perhaps a quarter inch over the first year — and the braided strap takes its pin anywhere in the weave rather than at fixed holes.

Not sure which is yours? Send us the measurement at hello@lamodaleather.com and we will tell you which size to order before you buy. If it still arrives wrong, an exchange costs you nothing but the return leg.

Questions

How long does the break-in take?

About two weeks of daily use. The leather arrives firm, then takes your shape — card slots relax, straps settle, corners soften. After that it only gets better.

Do you gift wrap?

Every piece ships in our parchment box as standard — it needs no extra paper. If you want a handwritten card inside, ask in the notes at checkout and tell us what to write.

Do you sell wholesale?

Rarely, and only in small batches — one pair of hands sets the limit. If you run a shop and think our pieces belong in it, write to us with your shop’s story and we will talk.
